books books books

I have a 'book habit' and I know there are other book addicts out there too.

However, sometimes at lunch I just feel like getting out but not going far and not going shopping. So today I wandered into Stacey's bookstore (again) and caught some of a book event reading. What could be better? (I'll miss this literary luxury when they close.)

I listened to Rodes Fishburne read from his debut novel, "Going to see the Elephant". It sounds like a compelling and amusing read about a guy, Slater Brown and his attempt to become the greatest writer ever, taking place in San Francisco.

I didn't buy it today, but I think I'd like to read it after I finish a couple other books first.
