Oakland's charm

Today we walked around some beautiful neighborhoods in Oakland near Lake Merritt. We walked down many quiet streets with lots of trees and flowers. These streets had character with charming houses and landscaped yards.

We passed a yard sale with a sign that said: 'Everything Free'. There were just a few items left. We got a small pot that I could replant my Lucky Bamboo in (after being cramped in its original bowl for 10 years!) The nice lady shared with us that the house is over 100 years old and that Theodore Roosevelt used to stay there when he visited the area! You just never know.
