sidetracked by 80s music

(Vintage sticker image from KROQ on Facebook)

I'm writing while listening to KROQ2 (The Roq of the 80's) on radio media player. It's funny how songs bring back specific memories. Here are three I injected into my writing:

It was 1982 at a GoGo’s concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. We wore knit mini-dresses with metallic belts, tights, and metallic ballet flats.

It was 1979, 8th Grade. Wendy Shiroma went around taking a survey. “Do you like Led Zeppelin or the B52’s? For years I wondered which one was “Led”.

It was 1986 I went with my friend Toni Tackett to the LA Streetscene and we saw Gene Loves Jezebel play. There was a riot at that event.
